अब रेलवे यात्रा में भी एयरलाइंस जैसे लगेज रूल्स लागू हो गए हैं। कानपुर सेंट्रल, मिर्जापुर, अलीगढ़, प्रयागराज और टुंडला स्टेशन पर नया नियम लागू किया गया है जिसमें लगेज का वज़न और साइज़ लिमिट तय की गई है। AC First Class में 70 किग्रा, AC Second में 50 किग्रा, और Sleeper/Third AC में 40 किग्रा तक सामान ले जाने की अनुमति है। जनरल कोच में 35 किग्रा की लिमिट है। तय लिमिट से ज़्यादा सामान होने पर जुर्माना और 6 गुना एक्स्ट्रा चार्ज देना होगा। Indian Railways has now introduced airline-style luggage rules. New regulations have been enforced at stations like Kanpur Central, Mirzapur, Aligarh, Prayagraj, and Tundla.
